Renowned British textiles designer Sarah Campbell presented the winners with their awards.

This year Spring Fair sponsored the new ‘Made in the UK’ award category, which I was lucky enough to win for my ‘Things British’ range, which included the Airfix London Mugs, Tea Towels and Bags and the English Dinner and London Tubes Stops Tea towels. I also cam runner up in the ‘Celebrating Britain!’ category.

It was such a great night and amazing to be up there with the top names in the industry such as Wild & Wolf and Joseph Joseph and meet the wonderful and inspirational Sarah Campbell.

She is able to position herself and her camera in what appear to be such fragile and sometimes intimate situations without making any impact on her surroundings and going seemingly unnoticed. What we are left with are simply beautiful images, which would have otherwise passed unnoticed.

Lap top set up to film a time delay video, pasta in the fridge ready for a quick lunch break, tea made, screens coated, artwork prepared and it’s down to work…

Helen directing, me trying to follow instructions. I  hope I’m more of a help than a hinderance, well if not she’s too polite that she doesn’t say anything. In one jam packed day we managed to print almost 100 prints over 3 designs in the 2 new colours; Charcoal and Teal. The new colour choices look great and were well worth the huge amount of colour mixing and tweaking until we were satisfied we had it right.
